Good location as a base to explore. Staff are excellent, friendly and very easy to talk to.

Location excellent for those exploring the region. Easy and short drive to get to from Naples airport. The staff are quite excellent, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There are a number of touring options via coach or boat (which we didn't need) so looks useful for people without a car

A few things outside of the hotel's control I guess. Castellammare is not really a place to visit as a tourist. Also trains are very overcrowded, so best to book ahead the express trains.

Decent place with good value but 4 stars is a stretch

We got great value for our room. Place was clean and decently kept. Easy check-in and out process.

Breakfast was disappointing with cold stale bacon and pastries. The owner was nice but a bit pushy, asking us for a 10 star review on here.

Comfortable room, friendly staff, will not be coming back.

There was a pool, a balcony and a view of Vesuvius. But there was also a view of an abandoned hotel next door, it felt unsafe to get to the hotel and the location is outside of the city, no walking. I loved the staff - such nice people. The pool was refreshing, but not very clean. I think Europeans like the hotel but it was not for us.

It felt like it was in an unsafe area. Getting there was confusing with an empty parking lot, abandoned building next door.

Strategically located stay with great facilities and good service

It was the off season so we got a good deal and it wasn’t too crowded. The facilities are nice and the breakfast was very good. Basic, but clean rooms and very friendly staff. Also this village is very nice, located at the beach near many attractions, yet not as crowded and noisy as in the big city.

Nothing to complain. A rather long walk to the beach if you have no car or scooter but it’s manageable.

Superb Short break in Castellammare Di Stabia

The breakfast was adequate and had all the essentials to start your day. The staff were always on hand for any assistance, they had a good sense of humour. The grounds were kept clean and tidy. The pool, although not very big, is well kept and had plenty of sun beds and parasols. The hotel is very safe and secure, it always had staff about 24/7. The rooms were very clean and tidy. Ultimately, the best thing about this hotel was that it's 'Family run' and the owner/proprietor (Francesco) has hospitality in his blood! He and his excellent staff (including his daughter Francesca), couldn't do enough for you. They made sure your stay with them was trouble free from the moment you walked in right up to the minute you departed. This what would make our stay the most memorable. The hotel is also in a great location. It was away from the main traffic, but not too far away where you could get to places i.e. train station, local shops etc. I would recommend this hotel 100% every time! NB: Pompeii is only 10mins drive away, and Sorrento 25mins by train, which was one of the main reasons we stayed here.

The only downside was the shower tray had a large crack in it which you could clearly see a repair had been carried out, but other than that, all was well.

The staff were all excellent. The breakfast was good. The room rate was very affordable.

The ruined buildings, the early pool closing, the noisey room, the dated bathroom, the €20 for parking. The parking charge is problematic as where the hotel is located means that most guests will have a car. I would suggest that the hotel factors in the cost of parking into the room rate. Also, the pool closing at 18.00 on an August evening was baffling to us. Why? All this being said, the room was affordable and these issues are raised by other reviewers. So, as we only needed a one night stay, it was fine.

Nice hotel

The hotel is old but almost everything works fine. The guys at reception were very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was above average. On site evening bar was fine too. We liked the center of the city very much.

It's pretty far from the city center. The remote control for air condition and heater in our room was not working but we didn't report it to reception because we didn't need it. The view at the ruined building near the hotel was not nice but this is Italy.

Wonderful

The staff and owner went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Carmine was fantastic for our entire stay; from picking us up at the train station in the shuttle bus to bringing ice to our room, to helping us with the different tours and excursions. Our room was well-appointed, with comfortable beds, and pillows. We had nice viiew of the city lights and nightime fireworks.

A detailed map of the hotel's location and nearby streets would be helpful when walking into the town centre. The breakfast was pretty good and fresh fruit and cereal toppings such as flax seeds, walnuts, pumpkins seeds would be a nice addition. .
